Senior Engineer/ Analyst 1713


As an Engineer working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will be assigned as part of our technical work force to support and grow our engineering capabilities and support our customers in the maritime industry and the United States Navy. You will hone your skills in the engineering field of study assigned. You will be expected to:

  • Regularly practice professional business acumen and perform assigned program tasks in terms of quality, cost control, and achievement of technical, schedule, performance and contractual objectives
  • Keep upper management informed regarding program status and any technical, cost, schedule, or administrative problems within assigned programs
  • Establish, maintain and promote good customer relationships; ensure the coordination of work tasks with customer representatives; and ensure customers are informed on status and progress of assigned technical programs

This position requires joining our Warfare Systems Development team of engineers and scientists to support the CNRMC. In this role, your responsibilities will include planning and executing programmed modernization and for coordinating Class maintenance planning and execution sufficient to ensure the continued Navy Surface Fleet readiness. This task entails rate analysis, forecasting, consulting, programming and workload analysis. Responsibilities will include strategic and key performance metrics preparation and analysis.


  • Experience in ship maintenance, private sector also desired
  • Experience with shipyards in conjunction with familiarity with SEA 21, SURFMEPP, Regional Maintenance Centers (RMC), and/or drydocking
  • Experience in ship maintenance, progress reports and metrics and scheduling is desired
  • Minimum 10 years experience with Navy Surface Ship Repair and Modernization
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline, substitutions for relevant experience are available
  • Master’s degree is preferred
